Four state departments of transportation have come together to explore the feasibility, potential benefits, costs and impacts of dedicated truck lanes on I-70 as it connects Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio.
Improve I-70 Information on the Supplemental Environmental Statement recommending (SEIS) recommending dedicated truck lanes in Missouri. The plan received approval from the Federal Highway Administration on August 14, 2009. The web site includes a video of how truck lanes could work.
